Rebuilt Engine Type F106A with Gearbox

A completely rebuilt Ferrari F106A carburettor engine with gearbox. The engine carries number 00718 and originates from a RHD 1975 308GT4 that was initially delivered in the UK, which had 68.000 miles covered. During 2015 and 2016 the engine and gearbox underwent a very thorough rebuild with invoices showing proof of all the work performed. Next to an extensive cosmetic overhaul, the engine got a major service, the cylinder heads were removed and overhauled, all seals, O rings and gaskets were replaced, the gearbox was rebuilt, crankshaft and pistons were cleansed, the carburettors were rebuilt, a new water pump was installed, and much much more was done in order to make this engine run and look like new. More recently in March 2023, the clutch was renewed, the distributors partially overhauled and the starter and alternator rebuilt. All documented. This carburettor engine can also be used in early 308 GTB's and of course in any other model/project/prototype you like.

Documents: invoices of the work performed during 2016, invoices for the work done on the clutch and distributors during 2023.

This is a complete frame with the tinted glass, fully original. The securit glass was made by S. Gobain. The rubber gasket needs to be replaced. The chrom frame is in very good shape, but you might want to have it rechromed.

This is a complete door handle that fits the early version of the 208/308GT4. It consists of the handle assembly with the lever. Both are in good shape, but the chromed surface of the lever shows some oxydation.

Front Wing 308GT4 Part nr 40001109 RH and 40001208 LH

A front wing in good shape, but there are a number of signs (welding) visible of previous repairs at the front tip, bottom and the section close to the A pillar too. These have been vapour blasted and protected against oxydation. These came off a 1975 308GT4 RHD car. There is some bodywork required as you can see, but it is a solid base.

Main Switch Assembly Part nr 116780

This is a complete switch assembly for the window wipers, lights and direction indicators. As you can see on the pictures, it has the typical cracks in the plastic sockets of the stalks, though the stalks are still well attached. It is a 50 year old part, so the labels on the stalks have vanished a bit. It fits all 308, 308GT4, 400(i) models and the 512BB too. As you can see, some of the wires were cut, so some attention is required.

Front Seat 308GT4 Part nr 40201105 LH and 40201006 RH

These seats are in excellent shape, considering their age. The front is covered in black tissue and the back in black leather. The tilting and adjustment mechanisms are working fine. The RH seat has about 5cm of lining that has detached as you can see on the pictures. Other than that, these seats are in A+ condition. All plastic covers are included.

Centre Console RHD 308GT4 Part nr 40185605

This is a centre console for the RHD version of the GT4 models. It is covered in black vinyl, which is still in nice shape considering its age. The overall structure underneath is very good. a previous owner has added a VOLT meter at the top to show the voltage of the battery, a good idea. The vinyl shows to rips or tears, only 2 very small screw holes where someting was attached, passenger side, difficult to notice.

Spare Wheel Dino 208/308/GT4 Part nr 105593

This is an authentic spare wheel for the 308, 208 Turbo and 308GT4 models that was made in 1974. It has never been used and still holds the max speed sticker at the front. Indicated: DINO - 3 1/4"B x 18. The Michelin 105R18x is still on the wheel and still appears to be in very good shape, free of cracks, just like new.

This is a complete rear hub assembly with the flange and the shaft. It has been cleansed and repainted. The bearings need to be replaced as these make an abrasive sound. These are made in cast iron.

Anti-Theft Device Part nr 127297

An anti-theft device with the lock cylinder in good shape. Working like it should, including the keys. Fits the F40, 328, 308, 308GT4, 400, 288GTO, 512BB(i) and 412 models. Extremely hard to find.

Steering Rack Support Part nr 108241 and 115493

This is a steering rack support, consisting of both blocks, bolts, nuts, spacers and washers. 2 types : one for the RH and one for the LH side. Diameter of the whole makes the difference - either 30 or 38 mm.

Steering Wheel MOMO 308 Part nr 107484

This is an authentic MOMO steering wheel from a 308 GT4, but fits the 308 carburettor models and 512BB too. It is finished in black leather, which shows patina (about 45 years old). The leather shows very small light cracks, but is not torn anywhere. It feels a little rough, but can be softened with products to treat leather. The hub is included. Diameter of the inner hub hole: 5,4cm. Total diameter : 35,5 cm.

Support steering Column 308GT4 Part nr 106611 and Upper Shaft Part nr 106609

A steering column support with the shaft, fits the 208/308GT4 model range. It is in good shape, vapour blasted, but the bearings should be replaced to be good.
