Red Bay Cars: the beginning !

Since 2005, Stefan has been the proud owner of a Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole. In 2015, he began searching for a replacement radiator after the original had been damaged beyond repair by stone chips. During his search for affordable parts, he received a phone call from Bernard, based in Steenokkerzeel (Belgium). Bernard had been restoring Ferrari Mondials for many years but, due to changing circumstances, had decided it was time to give up his hobby. He owned an extensive collection of parts for the model—enough to fill two shipping containers. Among them was the radiator Stefan needed, but there was one condition: it was an all-or-nothing purchase, and Stefan had just 24 hours to make his decision.

As the future managing director of Red Bay Cars, Stefan was already very familiar with the Mondial and its common weaknesses, having worked extensively on the model himself. Although it was a risky investment, it ultimately proved to be the right decision. It took an entire week to clear out Bernard's garage and transport all the parts, along with several partially completed cars, to a small office building and an even smaller shed in Tielt-Winge (Belgium).

Bursting at the seams : moving to Aarschot

As sales continued to grow and several cars were undergoing complete disassembly, it soon became clear that the small office and adjoining workshop could no longer meet the company's needs. The premises were bursting at the seams, making the search for a larger facility inevitable. Located just 12 kilometres from Tielt-Winge, the city of Aarschot offered several potential locations, one of which proved to be the ideal choice. Red Bay Cars relocated to a warehouse that provided the additional space the business required. Over the following months—and indeed the next two years—the company gradually expanded its footprint within the building as its operations continued to grow.

Despite the extra space, the premises still had significant limitations. The walls were only 2.5 metres high, restricting workshop operations, and there was no dedicated reception area to welcome customers.

During this period, Red Bay Cars established an international reputation, serving hundreds of satisfied customers while steadily expanding its range of parts and expertise. In addition to the Ferrari Mondial, the company's portfolio grew to include models such as the Ferrari 308, 328, 348, F40, Testarossa, 512 TR, 456M, 360 and F430.

Before long, it became evident once again that the business had outgrown its premises and that a considerably larger facility would be needed to support its continued growth.

Business is expanding even more !

The need for additional space was finally addressed in 2021, when the entire business park underwent extensive redevelopment. Red Bay Cars was given first choice of the newly built SME units, securing premises that would support the company's continued growth.

The new facility initially provided 720 square metres of floor space, with a further 250 square metres added at the end of 2025. Alongside a modern customer reception area, two mezzanine floors were constructed to maximise storage capacity, while bespoke racking systems were installed to allow bare Ferrari chassis to be stored vertically, making the most efficient use of the available space.

By this stage, Red Bay Cars had established itself as one of Europe's leading specialists in both new and recycled Ferrari parts for models produced between 1975 and 2008. The company's portfolio continued to expand, adding support for the Ferrari 550, 575M Maranello, 599 GTB Fiorano, 612 Scaglietti and F355, further strengthening its position as a trusted source for Ferrari owners and restoration specialists alike.

Where do we stand today? 

Today, our customer base consists of several thousand clients worldwide, including official Ferrari dealers, specialist maintenance and restoration companies, as well as private enthusiasts.

Our storage facilities have grown to more than 2,000 square metres of gross floor space, allowing us to support Ferrari models ranging from 1975 up to 2010, with the Ferrari 458 being the most recent model covered by our expertise. On top of that, we have started offering Maserati parts in 2026 for all models from 1998 onwards.

The calculated risk taken by our managing director in 2015 has clearly proven to be a defining moment, and we could not be prouder of the position our company has achieved today. This success would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our employees, friends, colleagues and fellow specialists who have contributed along the way.
